Welcome to the Fans of the Don Geronimo Show, The Week in Review, February 11-15, 2013.
Well, well, well, in case you missed it, go directly to the February 14th show and listen to it from end to end, you will not be disappointed (unless you are a twerp.) This week brought us some great interviews with Comedians Paula Poundstone, Rob Schneider, Ian Bagg, and Fazion Love, and a failed interview with UFC fighter Chael Sonnen. Oh, and by the way, did you hear? Don and the crew went to the Bunny Ranch, Slow Joe and Dennis Murphy got lucky, and we still have no idea what Drew did with Piper Rae. Enjoy…
Don: “This is a 100 share show. Every man with a pulse is listening to the show today for goodness sakes!”

The Don Geronimo Show – February 11, 2013
Don’s Show Notes:
The week begins with Don’s weekend recap, including his dog Oscar puking all last night, going to see “Identity Thief,” and the annoying 12 year old girls in front of him, as well as the guys behind Don who wouldn’t stop talking. We also hear about Don’s “Directed By” rule at the movies, before the guys talk about the success of #HereWeBuy night on Saturday, and discuss how good of a basketball player G.M. Steve might be.
After discussing the Christopher Dorner story, Don asks the question: is Superman Jewish? This gets the guys talking about what the religions of other super heroes and cartoon characters might be. After hearing that another African American family is suing Disneyland for racism, we get into another phone scan, before we get a visit from UFC fighter Chael Sonnen. However, Chael, unhappy about the length of the commercial break, gets douchy with Don right off the bat, and Don hangs up on him!
It’s then time for some 8-bit Karaoke with Craig. Among the songs today: “Epic” by Faith No More, “Alive” by Pearl Jam, and “Under The Bridge” by the Chili Peppers. After Craig, Drew makes everyone sick with his dirty finger, and then we jump into the “Phantom News.” Today, Pope Benedict will step down on Feb. 28, Mr. Bean’s car cost $1.4 million to repair, the GRAMMY winners, and Christina Applegate will appear in the Anchorman sequel. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!

The Don Geronimo Show –February 13, 2013
Don’s Show Notes:
Tonight the guys head to Reno, to be guests at Dennis Hof’s Moonlite Bunny Ranch, and broadcast tomorrow’s show live from there. The guys talk about how much fun they’re going to have, and all the shenanigans they’ll be getting into. The guys also bust Slow Joe’s balls a bit, as he’s still uncertain about getting down with any of the ladies there. We then get into a discussion about the Christopher Dorner standoff yesterday, which ended in a cabin going up in flames with him inside. The guys talk about the coverage, and hear the prank call that Howard Stern’s fan Captain Janks made to CBS 2 in L.A. during the coverage.
After some discussion about the State Of The Union address, and Don’s love for the Westminster Dog Show, Little Joe throws one of the crappy chairs in the control room, G.M. Steve has a new name: Stevie Benz, and we hear Sweet Brown’s new dentist commercial. The guys also talk about Marco Rubio’s State Of The Union rebuttal, and discuss the non-event that was him drinking bottled water during the speech. Don also reads the latest column from USA Today’s Steve Wilson, before it’s time for a new Match Game!
We then get a visit from comedian Paula Poundstone. Paula, who will be performing at the Crest Theater in Sacramento on Saturday night, talks about doing her show unscripted, which of her ties are the luckiest, Phyllis Diller’s wigs, and what it’s like being on Craig Ferguson’s show. After Paula, comedian Rob Schneider stops by. Rob, who is performing at Cobb’s Comedy Club in San Francisco Thursday through Sunday, talks about the Dorner coverage yesterday, how his his show “Rob” got screwed up by the network, being in “Jack And Jill,” which is one of Don’s favorites, and working with his old SNL buddies.
It’s then time for a quick phone scan, today with only one question: How long would you last with Kate Upton? After some very honest answers from our callers, our good buddy Dennis Hof calls in. Dennis talks with the guys about coming up to Reno tonight, and doing the show at the Bunny Ranch tomorrow morning! Don then plays a youtube video of a loyal Kings fan singing about the Kings staying in Sacramento, to the tune of “Imagine” by John Lennon, before it’s time for “Phantom News.” Today, Kate Upton’s “body shut down” during the SI photo shoot in Antarctica, new network shows for this fall, last week’s TV ratings, and the top grossing romantic comedies of all time. And, after “give up” time is called at 9:48, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!

The Don Geronimo Show – February 14, 2013
Don’s Show Notes:
We’re live at the world famous Moonlite Bunny Ranch!! All the fellas are hanging out with the legendary Dennis Hof, and his beautiful ladies! The morning starts with Slow Joe’s evening last night, in which he not only had a great evening with Veronica, but came walking in before the show as cool and relaxed as the guys have ever seen him. After doing some last minute setup with Steve the engineer, the guys meet Air Force Amy, hear about Drew getting the guys lost, and then talk to their good buddy Dennis Murphy, who will be getting down with Amy Page later on in the show.
We meet quite a few of the Bunny Babes this morning,as Don passes the wireless microphone around a bit, and we meet Angelina with the tattoo, Air Force Amy, and Drew’s favorite, Piper Rae. We then hear about Little Joe’s “Would You Rather?’ game he played with Slow, Phantom, and Craig on the way up, and then a few of the Bunnies get topless for all the guys. Don also talks to Richard, who’s in charge of media at the Bunny Ranch, and owns a pit bull that was owned by Michael Vick. Rich tells the guys about the lengths he went to to rescue the dog, and talks a bit about the atrocities that were performed on the dogs that Vick owned, and also tells us about confronting Vick with his dog at the Super Bowl a few years back.
Little Joe then introduces us to his buddy Chris, who came to hang out with us, and he had fun last night with a gorgeous lady named Sophia, who got the “Bellagio Effect” from Chris. Dennis Murphy then puts a condom on his nub, just to see if it fits. Dennis Hof sits in for a bit, and Don talks to him about Andy Kaufman and Bob Zmuda, who apparently was at the Ranch yesterday, but the guys missed him because Drew got them lost. Amy Page and Dennis Murphy then head back to their room to get ready, and Drew and Little Joe follow them in to commentate. When the deed begins, Drew and LJ get sick out of their minds! Dennis Hof then sends in Krissy Summers and Sadie Lee to join them. When Slow Joe comes in to see, he also gets traumatized, with mental pictures that will torment him the rest of his life!
After the madness, we get a recap from Dennis and Amy, who are now going to take a shower together. We also hear Krissy and Sadie’s take on the experience, and Piper chimes in with her take on watching the experience. It’s them time for the “Phantom News.” Today, the least celebrated holidays each year, a threesome that ends in a stabbing, Dennis Murphy comes back with Amy, who apparently took a bath instead, and the rest of yesterday’s top grossing romantic comedies of all time. And the guys get so wrapped up in the shenanigans, that Doni skips the caller 100!

The Don Geronimo Show – February 15, 2013
Don’s Show Notes:
The guys are all back in Sacramento, fully recovered from the madness at the Moonlite Bunny Ranch show yesterday! We hear all about the drive home, where Drew and Craig got a hold of some “edibles,” leading to a very memorable trip back. We also hear that Don will be taking Monday off for President’s Day, but the rest of the guys will be in to do a live show. After checking out the awesome footage of the meteorites that fell in Russia this morning, Don introduces us to a website called whomyfriendslike.com, which tells you who your lamest Facebook friends are, and the guys talk about the disabled Carnival Cruise ship, which finally returned to port. The fellas hear a few clips from the passengers, and a couple really lame parody songs about it.
We then get an in studio visit from comedian Ian Bagg. Ian, who’ll be at the Punchline in Sac all weekend, tells us what Canadians think of Americans, pissing off Brad Pitt, his love for radio, his favorite famous comedians, and what it’s like being on Craig Ferguson. After Ian, the guys do another phone scan, and we get another in studio visit, this time by comedian Faizon Love. Faizon, who is performing at Tommy T’s in Rancho Cordova, tells us about the time Katt Williams pulled a gun on him, being in movies like “Couple’s Retreat,” and “The Replacements,” and being “Big Worm” in “Friday. He even shows us his Ice Cube impersonation!
After hearing a few clips, including a “My Strange Addiction” montage, and President Obama’s Valentine’s Day speech, Dennis Murphy calls in to thank Don again for the great time at the Bunny Ranch, and then it’s time for the “Phantom News.” Today, Whitney Cummings’ talk show has been cancelled, the “Survivor” premiere ratings were down 23%, a hero pit bull saves two women and five other dogs in a fire, and the five ways you can shorten/lengthen your life. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
